They will be some of the most difficult species you’ll target while inshore fishing on Kauai.

This species tends to travel while hunting for food, rarely staying in one area for longer than 20min before moving on down the shoreline. With their distinctive forked tails, large mouths,  and powerful body’s.  This species maintains superiority as one of Hawaii’s top reef predators. They are caught on a variety of setups and baits ranging from cut shrimp and live reef fishes, to plastic grubs and surface poppers.
